Mico Light IRIS – Innovative UVC technology for greenhouses without pipe rails

Smart and precise navigation between crop gutters

The Mico Light IRIS is the latest Micothon UVC machine, specially designed for greenhouses without pipe rail systems. Thanks to its innovative, laser-guided control system, the machine moves precisely between the (hanging) gutters, ensuring a perfectly efficient operation.

The machine consists of a transport wagon and a lighting cart. The transport wagon automatically moves the lighting cart from aisle to aisle or bay to bay. The lighting cart actively moves between the crops with UVC lamps before returning to the transport wagon. This enables fully autonomous operation and ensures optimal crop coverage.

Effective control of fungi and diseases

With its high UVC light capacity, the Mico Light IRIS offers unmatched efficiency in preventing and combating powdery mildew while also reducing other fungal growth, such as Botrytis. The machine is available in single-row and multi-row configurations, making it highly versatile for different greenhouse setups.

UVC light works most effectively in dark conditions, as direct sunlight reduces its effectiveness. This makes nighttime treatments ideal for maximum efficiency in controlling fungi and pathogens. More over, during the summer months, when nights are shorter, the available time for UVC treatments is limited.

Thanks to its bay-wide operation and the ability to run on high-voltage power instead of batteries, the Mico Light IRIS can operate at maximum capacity, performing as many treatments as possible within the available timeframe. This ensures faster and more effective crop protection, even during the short summer nights.
